Private Gatherings at Thurston House
Intimate, story-rich celebrations rooted in place — from private family stays and reunions to elopements, micro-weddings, retreats, and full property buyouts.
A Property Designed for Flexibility
Thurston House is not a one-format venue. It can be used in several different ways depending on your group, your timing, and the kind of experience you want to create.
Private House Stay
- 4 bedrooms / 4.5 baths
- Sleeps up to 10 guests
- Ideal for families, holidays, and close group stays
Inn + Residence Combination
- Historic house plus 6 private annex suites
- Great for mixed groups who want both privacy and shared time
- Works beautifully for reunions and wedding weekends
Full Property Buyout
- Up to 10 rooms / 10 baths across the property
- Shared spaces for gathering, relaxing, and celebrating
- A rare option for groups wanting the whole place to themselves
Intimate Events
- Elopements and micro-weddings
- Anniversaries, milestone birthdays, and family dinners
- Retreats, leadership offsites, and creative gatherings
We’re happy to talk through different combinations of lodging, gathering space, and timing to help shape the right fit.
What We Host Best
Designed for smaller gatherings where every detail matters.
- Elopements & micro-weddings
- Vow renewals & anniversaries
- Family reunions & milestone birthdays
- Writer and artist retreats
- Leadership offsites and intentional group stays
- Welcome gatherings, dinners, and farewell brunches
How It Works
- Reach out with your dates, group size, and overall vision
- We discuss options for lodging, site use, and flow
- We shape a plan around what fits the property naturally
- For events, we coordinate with your planner, caterer, or vendors as needed
This first year is intentionally hands-on and personal. We’d rather talk through the details than force everyone into a rigid package.

Season & Availability
We are primarily offering gatherings in the shoulder and off-season, when the experience can remain personal, calm, and unhurried.
- Typically best suited for October through May
- Summer dates considered case by case
- Availability is intentionally limited in our first year
House Guidelines
- Quiet hours: 10:00 PM
- Outdoor amplified sound ends earlier by approval
- Alcohol service should be handled by licensed and insured vendors
- Insurance and deposit may be required depending on the event
- Rain plans, parking, and logistics are discussed case by case
Final approval and scheduling remain at our discretion as we thoughtfully shape Year One.
Year One at Thurston House
This is our first year welcoming private gatherings in this way, and we’re intentionally keeping it small, personal, and curated.
We are reachable, flexible, and happy to discuss details directly. If you’re looking for something meaningful, well-paced, and rooted in place, we’d love to hear what you have in mind.
You’ll hear directly from Olivia or Hunter — not a generic event desk.
Rates & Next Steps
Because each gathering is different, we build proposals around your date, group size, lodging needs, timeline, and how you want to use the property.
Some guests want a quiet private stay. Others want a full property buyout. Others want lodging plus a small event layered into the weekend. We’re happy to talk through all of it.
Reach out with your dates, headcount, and a few notes about what you’re imagining.
